- "The Tah'Nuhna are neutral! Not even the Empire ordered the invasion of our planet."
- ―A Tah'Nuhnan leader
Tah'Nuhna was an ice planet in the Mid Rim, home to the species of the same name. Tah'Nuhna and its people had been neutral in every conflict, welcoming to all, and they allowed the Resistance to briefly stay on their planet shortly after the Battle of Crait, leading the First Order to destroy their civilization.[3]
Description
Tah'Nuhna's surface was icy and covered with snow. Despite its cold climate, the planet also contained volcanoes, the eruptions of which produced glass that the Tah'Nuhna people used to build large cities.[3] It was located in the Tah'Nuhna system in the Haserian sector of the Mid Rim Territories.[1]
History
- "From the Hundred-Year Darkness to the rise of the Empire, the Tah'Nuhna have been kept out of the wars that divided the galaxy."
- ―A Tah'Nuhnan
From as early as the Hundred-Year Darkness, Tah'Nuhna had never faced galactic conflicts, and even the Galactic Empire did not invade it during its reign. The Tah'Nuhna formed an intellectual society and made numerous contributions to the galaxy throughout their history.[3]
The planet's peaceful legacy came to an end during the First Order-Resistance War, however, when Resistance fighters traveled there after the Battle of Crait for supplies. The First Order soon traced a Resistance transmission there and arrived with an attack fleet. The Tah'Nuhnan leader pleaded that their planet was open to everyone in need, but General Armitage Hux ordered the destruction of Tah'Nuhna and its society along with it in retaliation. Upon receiving the news of the planet's destruction, General Leia Organa of the Resistance lamented that more worlds had succumbed to the fate of Alderaan.[3]
