The Star Hopper was a cruiser used by the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era, where it served as a Padawan Academic Cruiser led by Grand Master Yoda and Jedi Master Torban Buck. After the Nihil attacked Trymant IV, the Star Hopper, being the closest Jedi or Galactic Republic starship, was dispatched to assist.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Star Hopper was first mentioned, indirectly, in the 2021 novel The High Republic: Light of the Jedi,[7] and first appeared in the first issue of Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures.[1] In the original script of The High Republic (2021) 1, Yoda referred to the Star Hopper as the Crimson Shred.[8]
