- "Only then can we guarantee the safe trade of credits for fuel between Malastare and Sivad."
- ―Padmé Amidala
Sivad was an astronomical object located in the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Trailing Sectors'[2] Iskin sector, within the Sivad system. It was situated in grid square O-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[3]As part of the Mid Rim Cooperation motion, introduced to the Senate of the Galactic Republic by Senator Padmé Amidala[1] in 28 BBY[4] as a way to provide aid to the planet Bromlarch, Sivad was to trade credits for fuel from the planet Malastare. The initial efforts of the motion's plans were successful, though one Sivadian pilot and their fighter were lost when a transportation convoy was attacked by pirates.[1]
Behind the scenes
Sivad was mentioned in the 2019 novel Queen's Shadow, written by E. K. Johnston as the first installment of Star Wars: Queen's Series.[1]
