Emily Kate Johnston[2] (born May 19, 1984) is an author who has written multiple young-adult novels in the Star Wars canon.

Biography

Johnston is best known as the author of the young-adult novel Ahsoka, which was released on October 11, 2016.[3] She later wrote the story "By Whatever Sun" for the anthology From a Certain Point of View, which focuses on the character Miara Larte created by Johnston for Ahsoka, showing the character's actions during the events of A New Hope.

Johnson has stated she keeps Star Wars close to her soul. As such, she has stated Star Wars is a major influence on her writing and that influence can be seen in her works she cares deeply about.[4]
