Description

Sheh Soahi was a terrestrial astronomical object[4] located in the Sheh Soahi system within the Cassander sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and New Territories.[3] It was situated in grid square K-5 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

History

The First Order-backed pirates established a base on Sheh Soahi.

The First Order-backed pirates established a base on Sheh Soahi.

During the Cold War between the First Order,[2] the successor of the Galactic Empire,[5] and the Resistance,[2] a small[6] military force created by the New Republic senator Leia Organa,[4] Sheh Soahi fell within the Borderlands[2] region between the territories of the First Order and New Republic,[7] and a group of pirates operating in the sector established their base[2] on Sheh Soahi.[4]

In 34 ABY,[4] the Resistance learned that the First Order wanted to take control of the Cassander sector by supplying weapons to the local pirates. In response to the threat, the Resistance sent a group of bombers and starfighters to stop both the pirates and the First Order. After a battle at the astronomical object Mamkoda and a relief mission to the astronomical object Caraxl, Resistance spies learned the pirate base was located on Sheh Soahi. Acting on the information, the Resistance starship group assaulted the base and destroyed it after an intense battle.[2]

Some time after the battle, Resistance gunner Paige Tico wrote about the events that took place on Sheh Soahi in her journal, which ended up in possession of her sister Rose Tico after the former's death during the Battle of D'Qar[2] later that year.[4]

Behind the scenes

Sheh Soahi was first mentioned in The Last Jedi: Bomber Command, a 2017 replica journal book written by Jason Fry.[2]
