The Borderlands[1] or Borderland was the name given to the stretch of space between the territory of the New Republic and the First Order.[2] The Cassander sector was located in the Borderlands, and during the Cold War between the First Order and the Resistance, the First Order attempted to annex the sector.[1]
Behind the scenes
Star Wars: Battles that Changed the Galaxy labels the Borderlands as the Trans-Hydian Borderlands;[3] however, Star Wars: The Galactic Explorer's Guide instead labels that region as the New Territories,[4] and Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 21 places Felucia and the Thanium sector in the Trans-Hydian,[5] consistent with the Trans-Hydian's original definition in The Essential Atlas.[6]
