The Sha'rellia system was located in the Hutt Space portion of[1] of the Slice.[2] It was situated in grid square S-12 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The system was home to[3] the creatures known as Sha'rellian toops.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Sha'rellia system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[5] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via a mention in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[6]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. This article treats the the Sha'rellia system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Sha'rellian toop species.
