- "Does Stinger know her quartermaster is calling a backstabbing traitor?"
- ―Reess Passik to Old Bab
Reess Passik was a Twi'lek pirate and smuggler. By around 3 ABY, he had left the Rokana Raiders and became a contract broker operating out of the space station Hauler's Keep in the Khepi system for the Miyuki Trade League smuggling syndicate. He later aided the thief Kay Vess and pirate Hondo Ohnaka in stealing a R93 refractor starfighter from the Rokana Raiders.
Biography
Pirate to broker
- "Alright, here is my plan: To get back into the tomb, we steal a Rokana ship and fly in, right under their noses! I have already made contact with an ex-raider named Reess Passik."
"Does he still have an old ship we can have or something?"
"Eh, not really. But pirates have a sort of, ah... revenged-based economy. And believe me, no one leaves a crew without a bone to pick." - ―Hondo Ohnaka telling Kay Vess about contacting Reess Passik
The emblem for the Miyuki Trade League, which Reess Passik joined after leaving the Rokana Raiders
Reess Passik was a Twi'lek pirate that had joined and subsequently left the Rokana Raiders[1] by 3 ABY. Around same year[2] he had become a contract broker for the Miyuki Trade League smuggling syndicate and began operating out of Hauler's Keep a space station located in the Khepi system. While on the station, Passik stashed six refined roxodium platings and five hundred credits in a container in an out–cove near the station's cantina.[1]
While working for the League[1] around 3 ABY,[2] he was contacted by the pirate Hondo Ohnaka who was seeking help infiltrating the Rokana Raider's base in the Sayma Nebula in the Khepi system. Before agreeing to help, Passik had Ohnaka and his associate Kay Vess deliver a piece of cargo lost in the Kijimi Nebula and deliver it to the surface of Kijimi. After completing the contract, Vess returned to Ohnaka in the Achra Station cantina where the pair contacted Passik via a hologram transmission.[1]
Despite completing the job, Passik informed the pair that they had to complete one additional job for him before he would be willing to betray Stinger Tash, the leader of the raiders. The job involved smuggling a class-one hyperdrive from Achra Station to Hauler's Keep. Before signing off Passik told the pair if they were stopped by the Galactic Empire that they could use the name of an Imperial admiral, Gallia Kryder.[1]
Breaking ties
- "Okay, where's the Rokana ship. Your cargo's still in my hold, and I'd be more than happy to start a bidding war between the Empire and the Pykes."
"You really are Miyuki material." - ―Kay Vess to Reess Passik
Passik' office abroad the space station Hauler's Keep
After making it past an Imperial checkpoint and an attack by members of the Pyke Syndicate, the group successfully made it to Hauler's Keep with the hyperdrive. When Vess and Ohnaka arrived at Passik's office at Hauler's Keep, he was having a conversation with Old Bab, the current quartermaster for the Rokana Raiders, via an encrypted transmission. Passik ended the transmission when Vess and Ohnaka entered and congratulated the pair on successfully delivering the hyperdrive. Upholding his agreement, he supplied the pair with coordinates of an upcoming supply drop the Trade League was providing to the raiders, ultimately allowing Vess and Ohnaka to steal one of the raider's R93 refractor starfighters.[1]
Impressed by Vess's work, Passik contacted the thief and asked her to meet him again so he could start offering her smuggling contracts with the Miyuki Trade League. Passik later sent out a message to all the Trade League brokers informing them that the accounts owned by Tash had been closed following her death during Vess's infiltration of the raider base. The message went on to say that any of Tash's outstanding debts would be extracted from the remaining Rokana Raiders. A copy of the message was stored on a datapad left near the cantina aboard Hauler's Keep.[1]
Vess later found the datapad while aboard Hauler's keep and read Passik's message regarding the Tash's death. Vess also discovered Passik's stash aboard the space station and stole its contents.[1] Around the same time,[2] she completed various smuggling contracts for Passik, who rewarded her with various pieces of Miyuki equipment and technology.[1]
Personality and traits
- "Hey, between you and me, what's your take on him? Reess, I mean"
"Oh, he's a risk taker – especially with other people's lives." - ―Kay Vess asking a Crimson Dawn representative about Reess Passik
Passik was Twi'lek with lavender skin who spoke Galactic Basic. He was considered to be a risk taker by one representative of the Crimson Dawn.[1]
Equipment
While working with the Miyuki, Passik wore a Mazanti face covering, a brown tunic with green leggings, a tan waist sash, black boots, a green scarf, and green head wrap.[1]
Behind the scenes
Reess Passik appeared in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on May 15, 2025.[3] In the game, completing smuggling contracts for Passik unlocks additional upgrades and cosmetics for the player's EML-850 light freighter. However completing these contracts is optional and does not effect the expansion's story.,[1]
