Admiral Gallia Kryder was an Alderaanian who served within the Imperial Navy and was in command of a fleet stationed on edge of Wild Space in 3 ABY.

Biography

"ND-5! Didn't expect to hear from you again old man, but a debt's a debt so here's what I know: Admiral Gallia Kryder is Alderaanian and survived the purge by transferring her command to the edge of Wild Space. She's set up a nice little network for herself and runs it all from her flagship, the Reviler. So stay on her good side or the fleet might show up for bombardment practice."

Gallia Kryder was an Alderaanian Imperial officer that served during the Destruction of Alderaan^[1] in 0 BBY.^[2] Following the event, Kryder survived the Galactic Empire's purge of Alderaanians by transferring her command to the edge of Wild Space^[1] where by 3 ABY,^[3] she had obtained the rank of admiral and commanded a fleet from her flagship, the Reviler.^[1]

In 3 ABY,^[3] the Miyuki Trade League smuggler Reess Passik hired the thief Kay Vess and pirate Hondo Ohnaka to smuggle a class-one hyperdrive from Achra Station in the Akiva system to Hauler's Keep in the Khepi system. During which Passik suggested that the pair bypass any imperial questioning by saying that they were delivering a shipment for Kyder. Before leaving the space station, Vess had her droid companion, a BX-series droid commando named ND-5, reach out to a contact to get information on Kryder. By the time Vess returned to her EML-850 light freighter, the Trailblazer, ND-5 had received a reply and added the information to a datapad for Vess to read. As the group left the station they were immediately selected for inspection by the Empire.^[1]

After invoking Kryder's name at the checkpoint, Vess learned that she was the third ship that week to use the name. However with the information ND-5's contact supplied about Kryder, Vess was able to stall the inspection long enough for ND-5 to find clearance codes which would allow the group to pass the check without being searched.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Gallia Kryder was first mentioned in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft^[1] on May 15, 2025.^[4] While at the imperial checkpoint, the player is asked the name of the Admiral's flagship and the player has three options, the correct "Reviler", the "Devastator" or the "Imperator". If the player answers incorrectly they will be told that their answer was wrong and will have to fight or flee from the Imperials. Similarly the player can skip the interaction at the checkpoint by trying to flee the checkpoint before being asked questions about the admiral.^[1]
