- "The Trade League's like a smuggling syndicate, right?"
"In essence, yes. It formed during the Republic when smugglers came together to protect their common interests. They have proudly been a thorn in the galaxy's sides for decades." - ―Kay Vess asking ND-5 about the league

Description
- "You. You want trade?"
"Uh, trade? Trade what?"

The Miyuki Trade League was a smuggling syndicate that operated through out the galaxy, from the Mid Rim Territories to Wild Space. As well as offering smuggling contracts to interested parties the Trade League employed a number of merchants that offered various types of equipment including illegal devices developed by the league such as redirecting manifolds. Members of the league tended to wear masks or helmets which obscured their faces as well as green shirts with yellow sashes and yellow gloves.[1]
History
The Miyuki Trade League formed during the Galactic Republic by smugglers who were looking to protect their shared interests. Early members of the league flew through the Miyuki Gap while evading Jedi Vectors. By the Imperial Era, the league had existed proudly for decades though it had fallen from the heights it achieved during the reign of the Republic.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the league had a established a number of vaults and caches across the galaxy that could be located using specialized holotrackers. However an Ugnaught smuggler named Jet Kordo, who at one point was a member of the league, had taken several of the vaults off the grid for his personal use. Locating these vaults required hologram discs which guided an individual to rocks with an inscription detailing an encrypted code that would guide them to the vault itself.[1]
Hauler's Keep, a space station in Wild Space which was run by the League
In 3 ABY,[2] the league established control over Hauler's Keep, a old mining space station located in the Khepi system. The takeover upset a number of aurodium miners that operated in the system who did not want to pay the league's cut. However Hauler's Keep was the only port in the system with fuel and breathable air, giving the League a strong control over the system. A Twi'lek member of the league, Reess Passik, had an office on the station where he brokered smuggling contracts for members of the league as well as independent smugglers, who they saw as a path to regain their prominence. During the same time, the league managed its own information network and had dedicated scouts. Members of the group operated on Achra Station, Akiva, Kijimi, Renpalli Station, Tatooine, and Toshara, trading in materials, components, contraband and information. Trusted independent smugglers would be awarded with a signet which they could show to aligned merchants to get better deals.[1]
During the same year, Passik used league resources and information to help the pirate captain Hondo Ohnaka and thief Kay Vess steal a R93 refractor starfighter from the Rokana Raiders after the pair performed two smuggling contracts for the league, including smuggling a class one hyperdrive from Achra Station to Hauler's Keep.[1]
Impressed by Vess's performance, Passik later offered Vess her companion ND-5 a number of smuggling contracts for the league. After successfully completing a number of contracts the pair was awarded with the Trade League signet, a special ion flare starship fuel and the materials to apply a "Fortune Hunter" paint scheme to their EML-850 light freighter, the Trailblazer.[1]
