Port Mackie was an Expansion Region astronomical object located in the Deadalis sector's Port Mackie system. In 382 BBY, the Path of the Open Hand cult members Yana Ro and Werth Plouth stopped at Port Mackie after departing the Mid Rim moon Jedha on a cargo hauler.

Due to sector-wide communications crisis, the two struggled to find passage to the their intended destination, the Outer Rim planet Dalna. They eventually left Port Mackie aboard the vessel of the Tarsunt Okut Dand and subsequently arrived at Dalna.

Description

Port Mackie was an astronomical object[3] located in the Port Mackie system within the Deadalis sector of the Expansion Region. Yana Ro (left) and Werth Plouth (right) visited Port Mackie while traveling to Dalna.

In 382 BBY,[5] the Evereni Yana Ro and the Nautolan Werth Plouth—both members of the Path of the Open Hand cult—departed[6] the Mid Rim[3] moon Jedha in order to travel to[6] the Outer Rim[3] planet Dalna aboard a cargo hauler that was headed to[6] the Mid Rim world[7] Ord Mantell. During the journey, the two left the hauler when it reached Port Mackie, though they had a hard time finding a way to Dalna because of a sector-wide communications crisis.[6]

Ro and Plouth eventually found passage to Dalna aboard the starship of the Tarsunt Okut Dand who was on his way to the Marat system[6] in the Outer Rim.[8] Before they arrived at Dalna, Ro mentally recalled her's and Plouth's time at Port Mackie.[6]

Behind the scenes

Port Mackie was first mentioned in the 2023 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Vengeance, written by Cavan Scott as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[6] Phase II.[9]

This assumes that the name "Celanon Spur," as used in Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 48 Guide to the Galaxy: Visiting Ord Mantell, applies to the canon hyperspace route depicted on the map that matches the depiction of the Star Wars Legends route with the same name in The Essential Atlas per BlueskyLogo Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
