Pono was a human security official that worked in the Imperial Senate Building on the planet Coruscant. In 2 BBY he rushed to shut down the Senate feed to prevent Senior Senator Mon Mothma's speech denouncing the Ghorman Massacre from being broadcast.

Pono was a human who worked as a security official at the Imperial Senate Building on the planet Coruscant. In 2 BBY he was working at a wrap around kiosk in the Senate building when Cassian Andor approached him while using the alias Ronni Googe a journalist with Mid-Rim News. After examining his scandoc, Pono allowed Andor through stating that he didn't have a bay assigned to the reporter so he would have to float.[1]

Immediately following Senior Senator Bail Organa's invocation of Article 17-252 to allow Senior Senator Mon Mothma to speak, Pono was ordered to shut down the Senate fee by ISB Supervisor Lagret on Imperial Authority. After rushing from his broadcast checkpoint to the senate broadcast room Pono quickly discovered that the room was locked. He proceeded to call two technician to the door. One of which, Jeen, informed him that they had fixed the door the previous day which had not been locked all session despite protocols requiring it to be. Demanding that they open it, Jeen told him that it required the sequence key which was in the security office. Hearing this, Pono immediately rushed off to the security office to get the key. After retrieving the sequence key, Pono returned to the security closet where he pulled a large lever shutting down the feed.[1]

Pono was a human with light skin, blue eyes and brown hair.[1]

Equipment

Pono wore a dark blue jacket over green vest and matching dark blue shirt and pants. He wore a pin bearing the Imperial crest on his jacket and wore black belt.[1]
