Pipyyr was a gray and white colored planet located in the galaxy that was the homeworld of the Pipyyrian species. It was located near the planet of Bakura. The atmospheric pressure of the planet caused problems for some, making them sick. The waters of the planet were poisonous and had to be filtered through carbon before it would become drinkable. Because of that Pipyyrians did not live near water or went outside when it rained. It was not unusual for communication buyos surrounding the planet to burnout because of heavy sunflares.[3]
Behind the scenes
Pipyyr first appeared in The High Republic: Cataclysm, a novel written by Lydia Kang and published in 2023 as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[3] Phase II. The planet was christened after Kang's shih tzu-poodle mix Piper.[4]
