The Onod system was a star system located in the Irnaj sector of the Mid Rim Territories[1] and Western Reaches.[2] It was situated in grid square K-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained the planet Onod[3] and the celestial body Onod I, which was the homeworld of the Onodone[4] forger[6] Gwellis Bagnoro.[4] The system was connected to the Kriselist system and Tiferep Major system by a hyperspace route.[7] The historian Eloc Throno eventually noted the Onod system's position on a galactic map included in his book Traveler's Guide to Batuu,[3] which was published in 34 ABY.[8]
Behind the scenes
The Onod system was first mentioned on a map of the galaxy included in the 2020 reference book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, which was written by Cole Horton.[3] It was first identified as the Onod system in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[9]

Star Wars: Timelines dates both the establishment of the Batuu Resistance base and its eventual relocation to Ajan Kloss to 34 ABY. Therefore, the in-universe guide must have been authored that year.
