Onod was a planet[1] located in the Onod system of the Irnaj sector,[3] a part of the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Western Reaches.[2] It was situated in grid square K-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid[3] and shared its name with the celestial body Onod I[5] that was situated in the same star system.[3] A hyperspace route connected Onod to the Kriselist and Tiferep Major systems.[6] The historian Eloc Throno eventually noted Onod's position on a galactic map included in his book Traveler's Guide to Batuu,[1] which was published in 34 ABY.[7]
Behind the scenes
Onod was first mentioned in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, a 2020 reference book written by Cole Horton.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu establishes that at the time of the book's setting the Resistance was based on Batuu. Star Wars: Timelines dates both the establishment of the Batuu Resistance base and its eventual relocation to Ajan Kloss to 34 ABY. Therefore, the in-universe guide must have been authored that year.
