The Mondress sector was a sector in the Expansion Region that contained the Mondress system in grid square J-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid and the Trinith system in grid square I-7.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Mondress sector was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[2]
The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters, a 1994 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement written by Rick D. Stuart and published by West End Games.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Fry and Daniel Wallace, identified and placed the Mondress system in the sector,[4] retroactively making a holographic appearance of the system in Alan Dean Foster's 2002 novel The Approaching Storm the sector's first appearance.[5] The Mondress sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the 2012 StarWars.com article Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region.[6]
