The Mondress system was a star system in the Mondress sector of the Expansion Region within grid square J-7 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Mondress system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[2]
The system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in a hologram in Alan Dean Foster's 2002 novel The Approaching Storm.[3] It was first identified as the Mondress system in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Fry and Daniel Wallace, which placed it in the pre-existing Mondress sector[4] which dated back to the 1994 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters, written by Rick D. Stuart and published by West End Games.[5]
