The moon of the planet Mon Cala[5] was located in the Mon Calamari system.[3] It was situated in grid square U-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid[4] and constituted a part of the Calamari sector in the regions known as the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[2] The moon had no atmosphere and had a barren rock surface.[5]
Behind the scenes
The moon was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the ninety-seventh issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon weekly magazine. The issue was published by De Agostini[5] around November 9, 2016.[6] Mon Cala's moon was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the 1994 novel Dark Apprentice by Kevin J. Anderson.[7] The moon was first identified as Dac's Moon in Sean Williams's 2010 novelization of the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.[8]
