Kevin James Anderson is a prolific science-fiction author and the author of The Jedi Academy Trilogy of books, which told the story of Luke Skywalker's attempts to begin training Jedi on Yavin 4; and introduced characters such as Kyp Durron and Admiral Daala. He also co-wrote the Young Jedi Knights series with his wife, Rebecca Moesta. During the writing of his early Star Wars novels, he communicated with fans as a member of the FidoNet Star Wars Echo.
Additionally, Anderson contributed to the Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi comic series, and has written numerous short stories.
