The Likasha sector was a sector in the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[2] In grid square Q-14 of the Standard Galactic Grid it contained the Darie, Denubba, Likasha, and Meshakia systems. It also contained the Kiamurr system and Melagawni system in grid square Q-15.[1] The Melagawni system contained the astronomical object Melagawni, where a squad of former Clone trooper deserters led by the clone Heater destroyed a Confederacy of Independent Systems weapons depot for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars in 22 BBY.[3]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Likasha sector first appeared in a flashback in the fourth issue of the comic book series Star Wars Adventures: The Clone Wars – Battle Tales, which was written by Michael Moreci, illustrated by Davide Tinto, and publised by IDW Publishing[4] on August 26, 2020.[5] It was first identified in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[6]
The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Fry and Daniel Wallace.[7] The Likasha sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the 2012 StarWars.com article The Essential Atlas Extra: Sectors of the Mid Rim.[8] It then appeared for the first time in the 2014 novel Honor Among Thieves, which was written by James S. A. Corey.[9]
