Koboh Abyss

The Koboh Abyss was a deadly nebula near the planet Koboh in the Outer Rim Territories. The Abyss was seen as a ship graveyard.

During the High Republic Era, the Jedi Dagan Gera flew alone into the Abyss and discovered the hidden planet Tanalorr inside. Using the data from his voyage, Jedi Santari Khri invented the Abyss compass to guide others safely to Tanalorr.[1]

During the Clone Wars, the Primacy exited hyperspace to close to the Abyss, which began to pull the ship apart with its strong gravitational forces. In a last-ditch effort for survival, the remaining bridge crew detached the core of the ship, planing for an emergency landing on the planet below.[1]

The only safe way to navigate the Abyss was with a Abyss compass, or using a Control Center and three arrays. Two were on Koboh, and one was on its Moon.[1]

The image from the three arrays creating a safe passage through the Abyss, was used for the Bedlam Raiders.[1]
