Varada sector

The Varada sector was a sector located in the Outer Rim Territories on the edge of the Unknown Regions.^[1] It contained the Koboh system^[1], which itself contained the planet Koboh, its Shattered Moon, the nebula Koboh Abyss, as well as a planet hidden within the abyss, known as Tanalorr.^[4]

The sector also contained the Talor system,^[2] which housed Talor, a tropical world home to the sentient, force-sensitive Talortai species.^[5] It also was the site of the Yamradi system,^[2] which contained the planet Yamradi.^[6]

Behind the scenes

The Varada sector first appeared in canon as a hallucination in Cavan Scott's 2022 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm.^[5] It was first pictured in the reveal trailer for the 2023 video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.^[7] However it was first identified as the Varada sector in the reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy.^[1]

In Star Wars Legends, it was first mentioned in "Adversaries: Characters for the Star Wars: New Republic Campaign," a roleplaying game supplement written by Bill Slavicsek and Michele Carter, published in Polyhedron 97 in July 1994.^[8]
