The Keeara Major system was a star system[1] located in the Interior[2] and Deep Core regions of the galaxy at Standard Galactic Grid square K-10.[1] It was connected to the planets Empress Teta and Prakith by the Byss Run,[3] which was part of the larger Nexus Route.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Keeara Major system was introduced as "Keera Major" in the current Star Wars canon in "The Deep Core,"[3] an article written by Mark Newbold[5] and included in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the thirty-sixth issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine[3] that was published around September 9, 2015.[6]

The Keeara Major system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in "The Replacements," a 2004 adventure for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game Living Force campaign written by Russell Foubert and Sean Yo and published by Wizards of the Coast.[7] Author Jason Fry later introduced the correct spelling of the system name[8] in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," a canon appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map article on StarWars.com[9] on June 24, 2025.[10]
