The Karoon system was a star system in the Shadola sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice[2] that fell within grid square U-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained the astronomical object Karoon, which had further sanctions applied to it by the Galactic Empire's Admiral Soonel[3] in 3 ABY[4] following a new investigation into anti-Imperial activities.[3]

The Karoon system was mentioned in[1] the October 13, 2025[5] update to "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com.[1] Both were written by Jason Fry.[6]
