Kalimahr was a location[4] in the Tython system[3] within the Deep Core[1] and the Interior.[2] It was situated in grid square L-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
By 382 BBY,[5] during the High Republic Era, Kalimahr was considered a sacred site and attracted pilgrims from across the galaxy, though it also harbored dangers for those visitors—a fact known to the Evereni Path of the Open Hand cult member Yana Ro.[4] That year,[5] while Ro was on[4] the Mid Rim[6] moon Jedha—another sacred site frequented by pilgrims—she mentally noted that like Kalimahr, its streets were dangerous.[4]
Behind the scenes
Kalimahr was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the 2023 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Vengeance, written by Cavan Scott as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[4] Phase II.[7] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Kalimahr was first mentioned in Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi 0, a preview issue of the Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi comic series of comic books. The issue was published on February 1, 2012, and was written by John Ostrander and penciled by Jan Duursema.[8]

Per Email from on July 31, 2025 — Used with permission, the appendix's author Jason Fry indicated that the canon locations should be considered to be located in the corresponding canon systems of the same name as the Legends system.
