The Kailion sector was a sector of the Expansion Region. In grid square O-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid, it contained the Bovo Yagen, Czerialus, Kailion, Tarmidia, and Tlactehon systems.[1]
The Czerialus system contained the planet Czerialus, homeworld of the sentient Czerialan species, which was controlled by the Galactic Empire[2] by 13 BBY.[3] During the Galactic Civil War, the Empire deployed probe droids to the Bovo Yagen system in search of the hidden headquarters of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[4]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Kailion sector was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[5] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was mentioned as part of the "Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region" update in a galaxy map created by Modi for the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Fry, which released on October 26, 2012.[6]
