- "I have no idea who this mudscuffer is, but he needs to be put in his place. Demote him as soon as possible."
- ―The response to Blorgh's transfer request
Jinnjo Blorgh was a Pyke criminal who served under the Pyke Syndicate on the moon Toshara and, after his defection in 3 ABY, the Hutt Cartel on the planet Tatooine. Despite loyally serving the Pykes for many years, Blorgh was kept at the same post of guarding the city Mirogana's gambling district on Toshara—an assignment he grew to dislike. After being refused his request to transfer to a new assignment, Blorgh decided to abandon the Pykes in favor of the Hutts, and was assisted in his escape by fellow criminal Kay Vess. She would later help him leave that syndicate and join Crimson Dawn as an informant, which he would ultimately also abandon to pursue solo work.
Biography
Serving the Pykes
- "I would like to request a transfer. I have served Gorak loyally for many years and have repeatedly said I am available for a new challenge. Anything that's not standing outside this rusty door."
- ―Blorgh's transfer request
Jinnjo Blorgh was a Pyke criminal.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] Blorgh had been loyally serving the Pyke Syndicate on the moon Toshara as part of underboss Gorak Palas' division for many years. At various points, he had expressed his willingness to face new challenges for the syndicate and, having grown dissatisfied with his assignment of guarding the gambling halls, eventually requested a transfer. Blorgh's request was met with anger, however, and resulted in orders to have him demoted as soon as possible.[1]
Eventually, Blorgh was given the responsibility of keeping one of three keycards needed to access the Pyke Syndicate vault in the city of Mirogana on Toshara; Blorgh kept the keycard in the syndicate hideout outside the city.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] he began devising a plan to defect from the Pyke Syndicate to the Hutt Cartel on the planet Tatooine and arranged with an individual to purchase a starship. Having neglected to check the ship's circuitry bay due to satisfaction with its paint job, Blorgh was unaware he was being scammed—something the would-be scammer intended to take advantage of by fleeing before he found out. Blorgh had also let his plans slip to a vendor in Mirogana's markets.[1]
Collaborating with Kay
- "Are you Jinnjo?"
"What's it to you?"
"That mudscuffer you're buying a ship from is trying to rip you off. It's a pile of junk."
"You can't trust anyone in this place." - ―Kay Vess and Blorgh
However, the criminal Kay Vess overhead the scammer speaking to another individual about their actions and opted to inform Blorgh of the plan. After telling the Pyke, Vess deduced that he was planning on deserting the syndicate, a revelation he paid he to hold her tongue about lest she inform Palas. Blorgh later departed for Jaunta's Hope on Toshara in hopes of gaining passage off-world. Vess encountered him once again, upon which he requested that she retrieve for him his pack of belongings from the Pyke District of Mirogana. After retrieving the pack, Blorgh instructed Vess over comlink to meet with a black market merchant named Lalini Ledeno—who could sell her a ticket that Blorgh could use to travel to Tatooine—and use code that she was "a friend of Arlo's."[1]
Vess purchased the ticket and received a final request from Blorgh—to purchase him food he could eat during the time spent traveling: a paddy frog on fompa bread. Vess begrudgingly obliged—growing tired of the Pyke's repeated requests—and purchased it from the same merchant he had informed of his plans. The merchant recognized Vess as an acquaintance of Blorgh's due to the order and expressed his honor in "cooking for Jabba"—the crime lord leader of the Hutt Cartel. Upon hearing this, Vess deliberated reporting Blorgh to Palas instead of following through. However, she delivered the items to Blorgh instead, albeit alongside a warning not to so openly discuss his plans and a notice that she would keep his remaining credits. Blorgh, satisfied, agreed to put in a good word about Vess to Jabba.[1]
Vess later encountered Blorgh on Tatooine at a Hutt-controlled compound. Blorgh explained to her that he got hungry in transit to the planet and ate his gift that he intended for Jabba, and had been stuck on guard duty. Disliking his job, he allowed Kay to steal the credits he was guarding, but then held her at blasterpoint for them, planning to run away from the Cartel. Vess makes a deal with him, arranging for Blorgh to join Crimson Dawn. He later stows away aboard Vess's ship, the Trailblazer to Myrra city on Akiva, where he worked for Crimson Dawn as an informant.[1]
Vess crossed paths with Blorgh one last time at Hauler's Keep in the Khepi system, where he was sent to observe the operations of the Miyuki Trade League and report back to the Dawn. There Blorgh informed Vess that he wanted out of Crimson Dawn as well. Sympathetic, Vess traveled back to Toshara and spoke to Eleera Soi, telling her that Blorgh had died. While Eleera knew that Vess was lying to her, she was content to let Blorgh go, as he was a subpar informant. Returning to Hauler's Keep, Blorgh rewarded Vess with a starship part that he had stolen from the Trade League and told her that he was planning to start his own syndicate. Jinnjo invited Kay to join as the fist member, but Vess declined.[1]
Personality and traits
- "Word of advice? When you're on the run, you probably shouldn't tell everyone about it."
- ―Kay Vess, to Blorgh
Jinnjo Blorgh was a Pyke with blue skin and black eyes. He was originally loyal to Palas and the Pyke Syndicate and had a many-times-expressed willingness to take on new jobs; despite this, he was made to guard the gambling halls and grew discontented with his duties. Blorgh was, to an extent, gullible, as he fell for a scam to purchase a non-functional starship. He was also hypocritically loose-lipped; despite being willing to pay others to not discuss his plans of defection from the Pyke Syndicate, he had himself openly spoken of his plans to a merchant in Mirogana.[1]
Blorgh was willing to express his gratitude with generosity, having given leave to Kay Vess to purchase food for herself using his own credits.[1]
Equipment
- "I just need my pack from the Pyke District. Can you get it for me?"
- ―Blorgh, to Kay Vess
Blorgh wore a green and blue uniform with black gloves and black boots, which was also worn by other members of the Pyke Syndicate. He was also equipped with a pair of impact grenades on his belt. Blorgh was in possession of a pair of old socks which were kept alongside his pack of belongings and a keycard to the Pyke Syndicate's vault in the Pyke District of Mirogana.[1]
Behind the scenes
Jinnjo Blorgh appeared in Star Wars Outlaws, a 2024 video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.[1]
Jinnjo is first encountered in the game during the intel "Worthless Ship," in which players are able to inform him that he is being scammed; doing so rewards players with one hundred credits. If this intel chain is completed, players can later encounter him in Jaunta's Hope where they can trigger the intel chain "On the Run." Upon retrieving Jinnjo's pack from the Pyke Syndicate vault in Mirogana, they are rewarded one hundred and twenty-eight credits and two old socks. After receiving the paddy frog on fompa bread from the merchant in Mirogana's markets, players are given the choice of returning to Jinnjo or waring Gorak Palas of his betrayal. Returning to Jinnjo increases the player's reputation with the Hutt Cartel in-game while decreasing their reputation with the Pyke Syndicate and grants them one hundred and fifty credits. Inversely, warning Gorak increases the player's reputation with the Pykes and results in Jinnjo's death. Neither Lucasfilm, Ubisoft, nor Massive Entertainment have clarified the canonical route of the "On the Run" intel chain. However, returning to Jinnjo is a prerequisite for the player to access a later intel chain; as such, it is the route documented in the body of this article.[1]
