- "Cities on Iskalon, a waterworld, rely on plasma that's pumped directly from the ocean floor. Maz's treasure? It's inside one of those pipelines."
- ―Cycyed Ock, in the Smuggler's Guide
Iskalon was a planet[3] located in the Iskalon system in the Trans-Nebular sector of the Mid Rim.[1] The pirate Queen Maz Kanata hid a portion of the spoils from her reign there in a buried vault equipped with a antitamper sub-space alarm. As of when she began writing the book that would become known as the Smuggler's Guide, the alarm protecting the cache of treasure on Iskalon had not sounded.[3] The Iskalon uprising occurred during the Imperial Era.[4]
