Antitamper sub-space alarms were a type of alarm that could be used to indicate when an object had been tampered with. The Pirate Queen Maz Kanata hid the spoils of her reign in twelve treasure caches throughout the galaxy, each protected by an antitamper sub-space alarm. The caches were located on Iskalon, Takodana, Descopose Farmark, Graddus Rex, Seeratter, Ponemah, Adrathorpe, Lost Murvey, Pashvi, "Graceful Promising," Nantoon, and Moldour. As of the time prior to or during the reign of the Galactic Empire that Kanata began writing the book that would become known as the Smuggler's Guide, none of her dozen alarms had sounded.[1]
