- "We're not doing enough."
"Since the Battle of Yavin and the destruction of the Death Star, the Rebel Alliance has staged more than a dozen different attacks on almost as many worlds. We've bombed the shipyards at Kuat and the supply base on Imdaar. […] I'm not sure what else we could possibly be doing." - ―Leia Organa and Gial Ackbar
Imdaar was a terrestrial world[2] located in the Imdaar system within the Dantus sector of the Outer Rim. It was situated on grid square J-6 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] During the Imperial Era, Imdaar housed a supply base of the Galactic Empire.[2]
In 0 ABY,[3] after the Rebel Alliance had destroyed the Empire's Death Star[2] superweapon,[4] the Alliance carried out a bombing of the supply base on Imdaar.[2] Later that year,[3] while in a meeting of Rebel Alliance leaders, Admiral[2] Gial Ackbar[4] used the bombing on Imdaar as an example of the Alliance's actions following the Death Star's destruction after Princess Leia Organa stated her belief the Rebel Alliance was not doing enough in their fight against the Empire.[2]
Behind the scenes
Imdaar was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the fourth issue of the 2015 comic series Star Wars. The issue was written by Jason Aaron and published by Marvel Comics[2] on April 22, 2015.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Imdaar first appeared in Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire, a 1995 video game developed by LucasArts.[6]
