The Holpern system was a star system located in the Arkanis sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[1] It was situated in grid square R-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained the astronomical object Holpern, which was home to large tree cows during the High Republic Era.[3] By around 161 BBY,[4] the human Jedi Padawan Indara had spent time on Holpern and gasped in wonder at the tree cows there.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Holpern system was mentioned in[1] the October 13, 2025[5] update to "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com.[1] Both were written by Jason Fry.[6]

- ↑ The events of The Acolyte: Wayseeker take place around 160 BBY per the reasoning here. Wayseeker states that Indara visited Holpern before she was involved in the Farlingan Collapse, which occurred a year before the novel's events. Therefore, Indara must have traveled to Holpern by around 161 BBY.
