A moon that began with the name Gus was one of three moons of the planet Corellia. It was located in the Corellian system within the Corellian sector of the Core Worlds. The moon was one of two moons of Corellia that began with Gus, but did not contain a T in its next word like Gus Talon. In 230 BBY, during the High Republic Era, the Nihil pirate Krix Kamerat, unintentionally revealed he had sent his second-in-command to Gus Talon when he mentioned the T in its name while he was speaking with his former friend Zeen Mrala.
Description
The moon was one of two moons of the planet Corellia that began with the name Gus, though unlike the moon Gus Talon, it did not contain a T in its next word.[3] It was one[3] of three moons of[4] Corellia,[3] which itself orbited the sun Corell.[5] The moon was located in the Corellian system within the Corellian sector of the Core Worlds[1] and the Interior.[2] It was situated in grid square M-11 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
History
- "I introduced her to my contacts, and I sent her to Gus T—"
- ―Krix Kamerat, to Zeen Mrala
Zen Mrala (pictured) used the mistake from Krix Kamerat to determine that his second-in-command had been sent to Gus Talon rather than the moon which also began with Gus.
In 230 BBY,[6] during the High Republic Era, the Nihil pirates carried out an infiltration of Corellia. As part of their attempts, the Nihil helped to escalate a union dispute on Gus Talon, as well as as instigating a bombing at Gus Talon University to distract the Jedi Order and the Corellian Security Forces from the infiltration. After one of the Nihil commanders of the infiltration—Krix Kamerat—was captured by a Jedi task force, he was to be transported to the Republic space station Starlight Beacon on[3] the Padawan Academic Cruiser[7] Star Hopper.[3]
During the journey, the Force-sensitive Mikkian Zeen Mrala—Kamerat's former best friend—confronted him and pretended to use the Force to extract Kamerat's secrets from him. After Mrala lied to Kamerat that his Er'Kit second-in-command had been feeding information to the Galactic Republic and been playing Kamerat and the rest of the Nihil, the pirate stated that while she may have betrayed him, she would not have been giving the Republic information as he had taught her all that she knew and had introduced her to his contacts. Kamerat then began to say he had sent her to Gus Talon, but after he noted the T in the moon's second name, he caught himself but it had been too late. After Kamerat's slip, Mrala mentally noted the fact about only one of the moons having a T in its second word, before leaving to prevent several of her friends from falling into a trap.[3]
