Grass sharks were a species of non-sentient herd animals native to the planet Tiikae. They were large, with six legs, twisted tusks and gold-striped skin. The sharks migrated every five years to their southern mating ground, following the planet's magnetic fields.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] Tiikae's magnetic field had shifted enough that a trade post which had previously been avoided by the grass sharks found itself in the path of a herd of 17,000 of the creatures, which threatened to destroy the settlement. Jedi Knights Zallah Macri and Azlin Rell, along with Macri's Padawan Kevmo Zink, were called in to redirect the sharks, which they were successful at after Rell and his astromech droid C-9 discovered how the creatures navigated.[1]
