Gorak’s suite was a private space used by the Pyke underboss Gorak Palas in the city of Mirogana on the Outer Rim moon Toshara that could be accessed by a turbolift from within Makal's Gambling Parlor.[1]
Description
Gorak’s suite was a private suite above Makal's Gambling Parlor in the city of Mirogana on the Outer Rim moon Toshara that could be accessed by a turbolift from within the parlor.[1]
History
By 3 ABY,[2] the suite had begun being used by the Pyke underboss Gorak Palas while the rest of the parlor was considered neutral ground among the crime syndicates operating in Mirogana.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] a human con artist sold fake VIP tickets to the suite for fifty credits from the entrance of the parlor to unaware newcomers. During the same year, a thief named Kay Vess ask one of the parlor's bartender about getting into the suite. The bartender dismissed Vess's request since she was not a member of the Pyke Syndicate nor had an invitation. Undeterred, Vess snuck through a vent at the parlor into the turbolift in order gain access to the suite. At the same time, Palas met with an Imperial officer who was demanding that Pykes increased their payments to the moon's Imperial Governor. As a response Palas had his guard shoot the officer with a stun bolt and drag them out. After which Palas noticed Vess in a crowd of his people and called her out; stating that he didn't know her. After a brief conversation during which Vess offered her services stating that Waka, a Rodian mechanic, sent her while he pet Vess's Merqaal companion, Nix. Hearing Waka's name, Palas realized that Vess was not worth his time as she was new to the crime world and had her removed from the suite but not before telling her to return when she was not as new. After being placed in the turbolift Vess discovered that Nix stole Gorak's ring while he was being pet.[1]
Soon after Vess was hired by Crimson Dawn, a rival syndicate, to inflitarate the Pyke Syndicate stronghold and steal a datafile title "SK01". While sliced into the stronghold's system Vess discovered that another member of the Pyke syndicate, Tizlak Sharr, was plotting to overthrow Palas. After delivering the datafile, Vess reentered the suite and shared Sharr's plotting with Palas. Thanking Vess for the information, Palas informed her that he would call her when he needed him.[1]
