The Geptish system was a star system in the Yushan sector of the Mid Rim Territories[1] and Western Reaches.[2] The system was situated in grid square K-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid and was located on the Corellian Trade Spine[3] super-hyperroute,[5] which connected it to the Mugaar and Kriselist systems.[3] The planet Geptish was located in the system.[4]
During the High Republic Era, Geptish was the site of a Jedi temple. The humans Jedi Master Silandra Sho and her Padawan, Rooper Nitani, returned to Geptish on the rare occasions when they were not on missions on the Galactic Frontier.[4] By 382 BBY,[6] Nitani had often practiced a maneuver in the temple's practice arena involving her and Sho sneaking up on an individual and catching them in a pincer movement.[4] Sho would meditate while on Geptish and had multiple places she considered to be her favorite spots to do so.[7]
Behind the scenes
The Geptish system was first mentioned on a map created by Jason Fry and Christopher Ibbitt for Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo[8] and published on June 17, 2025.[9] It was identified as the Geptish system[1] in the October 13, 2025[10] update to "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com.[1] Both works were authored by Fry.[10]
