Arvel Skeen's brother is revealed in "The Eye" to be a pure fabrication on his part. Any of the falsified information pertaining to him should be relegated to Skeen's own page.

  8. Jumping the Bryar pistol here. That conversation is purposefully ambiguous, as Skeen's words can be taken to mean different things. He says "I don't have a brother," not "I LIED, I never had a brother." We should wait for a more neutral source to clarify this. RattsT (talk) 18:00, 12 October 2022 (UTC)

  13. I now agree he should be kept as a fictional IU character, but given the context we have regarding the character I don't believe we should still assume that he *might* exist. Further elaboration is given in my comments below. - DFaceG (talk) 02:52, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

  • Per Immi and Ratts, Skeen's falsified recounting of events already stated his brother had died. He would have no reason to further imply his death in saying he "doesn't have a brother," and it would make his confession of such to Cassian relatively pointless.     • What that final scene means is gonna be interpreted differently between people. What we can say for sure, though, is that it tells us Skeen is an unreliable narrator. With the information we have solely within this episode, I wouldn't be comfortable saying one way or the other what "I don't have a brother" means. Instead, the page should be written with ambiguity in mind, i.e. "The rebel mercenary Arvel Skeen claimed to have a brother who had tended an orchard…" etc. RattsT (talk) 03:09, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

  • Honestly, I feel like we should not have started this TC until we had complete clarification. If the brother is completely fabricated, we should delete the article. If not, we should keep it.
