The result of the debate was No consensus.
Alright, so, this is it. The final vote that needs to be done in this whole saga of clone trooper name movement. This vote will be focused entirely upon the movement of RC-1140/Legends: should the page be moved to his name Fixer, remain at his Republic number of RC-1140, move to his squad designation of Delta-40, or move to his later Imperial number of IC-1140? His canon page has been settled and moved from RC-1140 to Fixer, but his Legends page was not agreed upon. Since the canon is moved, however, the namespace "RC-1140" is available without the /Legends. As such, I have named this CT "Fixing Fixer" as both a pun and also to show that, no matter what, some kind of decision should be reached given even RC- has a new available namespace. No matter what, the page will not end with /Legends by the end of this CT.
Before you vote, I advise you to familiarize yourself with the arguments in favor of movement seen at Forum:CT:Fixer page name vote and Talk:RC-1140/Legends, but I suppose all that will be repeated here so maybe just wait a few days and it will all show up heh. I will also lay out Legends evidence I have found (which also can be found on the Talk page discussion) so you do not need to leave page Editoronthewiki (talk) 19:21, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

What does lore say?
- According to The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, the commando "Known to the others as Fixer" was someone who "insisted on calling his squad-mates by their batch designations, rather than the more colorful nicknames they acquired."
- Star Wars: Republic Commando: Prima Official Game Guide says the same, remarking he is "Known to the others as "Fixer"" and "insists on calling his squad mates by their batch designations rather than the more colorful nicknames they acquired."
- In Republic Commando: True Colors, Fixer refers to Scorch by name while he is busy working on sending out a communication.
- In Order 66: A Republic Commando Novel, Fixer refers to Darman by name while having a meal with Scorch.
- Throughout Republic Commando, Fixer can be heard using the numbers of his squadmates, as the Prima Guide said. However, this is not universal: Fixer yells out "lost his signal, Boss!" when Sev goes MIA
- Perhaps it is worth noting, "Boss" was not always intended to be that commando's nickname. As noted by writer Ryan Kaufman, it was originally just a random term the squad threw around to refer to their sergeant. However, Kaufman decided that "the Deltas would never stand for" one of their own to be without a name. And thus, Boss became that character's name.[1] So when Fixer yells out Boss's name, perhaps it was not intended at the time to be him using a chosen name. However, thanks to the power of retconning, it now is that. Editoronthewiki (talk) 19:21, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Move to Fixer (clone commando)/Legends
- To me, this is a classic example of narrative material trumping reference. Fixer was written in reference material to prefer numbers, yet, when full prose was given to the character, he was given scenes of calling his brothers by their names. Indeed, we have in-game proof of this with him using Boss's name. Some users have proposed to me that him using other clones names could be him respecting their decisions while keeping his own thoughts to himself, yet that would not explain his habit of calling his fellow Deltas, the clones he would be closest to, by their numbers at other points. Does he only sometimes respect names and other times not? I think this is a clear case of narrative material overwriting the previously established lore. Canon really hit the perfect middle ground by saying he prefers numbers during missions, which leaves room for him to uses names in downtime. However, in Legends, we even have him using Scorch's name while on duty via True Colors. Combine all this with Kaufman declaring that "the Deltas," together, wouldn't stand for one of their own to be without a name, and I think we have a clear case. - First, he never afaik refers to himself as either RC- not IC-1140, nor does he refer to himself as 1140. How he refers to others isn't necessarily how he refers or thinks of himself, and a preference for numbers is indicated to be a matter of formality and procedure. He is known by Fixer, not 1140, RC-1140 or IC-1140, so I'm not sure of the justification to use the numerical designation stands if the material never say that he refers to himself in those terms. Remain at RC-1140
Move to IC-1140
- Per my vote here, he can use others' names and respect their choice to do such without choosing the same for himself. The same way we now refer to other clones by their names to respect their chosen names, we should do the same for him—and if he preferred his number as exemplified in sources—then that's what it should be.—spookywillowwtalk 19:25, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Just because he used other clones' names doesn't mean he preferred his own over his number. That's not an assumption that can be made. Since IC-1140 is his latest designation, that's more correct over RC-1140. Fan26 (Talk) 19:31, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
