Hey, Following the first round, shenanigans vol. 2. As with the other, the reason I provide for not SH-ing these because they're all either pass-fail, something we've done for years already, or so minutely minor a proper SH would be a waste of time and probably not get comments anyway. Sorry but not sorry for the amount of reading—but, the IU quote one especially was gonna bother me into next year if not sorted as soon as noticed.—spookywillowwtalk 22:10, 25 January 2025 (UTC)

- Functionally, just allowing us to add a gallery on the page for Wookieepedia itself. Proposed originally by several people in Discord because, although there's agreement about not making massive galleries in normal or mainspace articles, the one about us could have a nice little gallery of our logos presented historically... (og, 10th anniversary, current, themed-months..._ Bullet-ing it for readability and to make it easier to codify future exceptions w/o a run-on sentence.
Current
- Images may not be uploaded for use in an image gallery, with the exceptions of media galleries on articles for individual out-of-universe works or in concept art galleries in the 'Behind the scenes' sections of in-universe articles, as outlined in the 'Published narrative works' and 'Concept art galleries' subsections of the Layout Guide.
Proposed
- Images may not be uploaded for use in an image gallery, with the following exceptions:
- Media galleries on articles for individual out-of-universe works
- Concept art galleries in the 'Behind the scenes' sections of in-universe articles as outlined in the 'Published narrative works' and 'Concept art galleries' subsections of the Layout Guide
- On the article for Wookieepedia, to host a gallery of the site's official logos

Bolded change — Because this got lost somewhere among the revamps. For the record—the "Image consensus votes" section does already state that the exceed-voter-participation in 2-years limit already doesn't apply to them, but the same echoing got taken out of the header sentence, thus making the policy partially conflict with itself. But functionally doesn't change anything.
- Note that this voter-participation requirement does not apply to modifications of a previous resolution, which is defined as any change to an existing policy that is not a straight repeal, or to image consensus votes, as defined below.

WP:LINK (MOS)
- Why: If only dialogue in quote templates is disallowed and not excerpts from IU publications (think Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, Chronicles of the Jedi, GE cookbook...which are not dialogue) we get:
- "Ten sectors were sealed away behind a barrier that prevents hyperspace jumps into the Exclusion Zone. Communications in and out of this region have failed, and the Nihil have begun to expand their presence in the Outer Rim. Wherever they rule, horrific brutality follows."
- ―Harli Cogra about the Occlusion Zone sectors, in Chronicles of the Jedi[1]
- IU publications in general are a thing that's only gotten much heavier coverage in recent years, at least what with documenting it in article bodies and using it as quotes. But yeah I'd hope we don't end up with the above, so...
Under, "However, do not include links in" amend current to proposed:
Current
- Dialogue in quote templates
Proposed
- Content in quotation templates other than as-needed in quote attributions when not linked elsewhere, as defined above
Under "Furthermore, subjects not linked elsewhere in the article (excluding references) may be linked in" amend the bolded in
- Quotation template and in-universe excerpt attributions

WP:LG#Notes and references
Why: There's only one article still onsite that even has a "colwidth" parameter... and it doesn't even work, given the template got said parameter tweaked out in 2019. And I just don't see the point really, like: default width suits just fine on even big articles in the modern Fandom skin, so assuming a holdover. The reason this is just remove and not replace is because the policy already specifies how Reflist is to be used, and so bloating the LG with things we don't do for features that don't exist anymore isn't really needed. The same with the second, in the interest of Avoid instruction creep: all available/potential current usages of Reflist are specified. Feature deprecation is best documented on (edit-protected) template documentation rather than making policies unnecessarily long. This doesn't repeal the actual decision of course.
Remove:
- The standard scroll box size may be enlarged for certain articles, but this should be done only in rare cases for presentation purposes. Requests to do so should be made on the article's talk page or article review pages.
Remove, and formally move to template documentation:
- Reference lists may not be multi-columned. This feature has been removed from {{Reflist}}.

WP:SMT
- Note: WP:A already covers general site collaborations with Fandom, however, this old CT is a bit restrictive in how that's done. We hosted a recent giveaway to much success (having forgot this old thing existed); so just codifying this and allowing for posting in either the namespace or Discussions, depending on the needs of the particular thing (legal reasons, sometimes we're not allowed to host the official rules here and instead need to link to [hosting partner].)
- Repeal Forum:CT:Contests_and_giveaways. Replace...
New subsection on WP:SMT called "Contests and giveaways," to sit under the "Point of contact" section, reading:
- When the opportunity arises, the Social Media Team may work with Fandom and/or Lucasfilm Ltd. or one of its affiliates to host a giveaway or contest on Wookieepedia. The event should be announced via Wookieepedia's Discussions and/or in the Wookieepedia Contests namespace, as well as on Wookieepedia's social media platforms.

WP:Notability#Film re-release products
- Because this has kinda fallen out of practice, what with {{HomeVideoCite}}. Comeuppance uses this as a cite—Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Target exclusive home video set — "A Final Alliance" Featurette—for instance: a one-film re-release with a new featurette. May as well; and it's the direction the site is moving, to make pages for featurettes and cite them as such like this, so having a delinked one would seem weird in Sources.
This is being proposed ahead of a future CT to determine whether or not to list HVC individually on articles' Sources. But regardless this should be CT'd anyway since we have a decent amount of one-film DVDs we'll need to CSD if it fails.
Old:
- Articles for film re-release products should only be created if the product contains multiple films and new content, such as content changes or behind-the-scenes features. Any film re-release product consisting of only a single film should be covered on the main article for that film, even if it includes new content.
New:
- Articles for film re-release products should only be created if the product contains new content, such as content changes or behind-the-scenes features. Any film re-release product without new content should be covered on the main article for that film.
