Lan Barell was a terrestrial astronomical object[4] located in the Hook Nebula's Lan Barell system[3] in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Trailing Sectors,[2] situated in grid square O-18 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] During the High Republic Era, a hive of Qieg lived on Lan Barell.[4] In 382 BBY,[5] Jedi Knight Gella Nattai visited the cemetery of the Outer Rim planet E'ronoh's capital city, the Rook, mentally comparing the tall structures there to a Qieg hive on Lan Barell.[4]
Behind the scenes
Lan Barell was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Convergence, a 2022 novel written by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.[4] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Lan Barell was first introduced in "Lan Barell," a Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game source article published in the West End Games magazine Star Wars Adventure Journal 1. The article was written by Paul Sudlow, illustrated by Tim Eldred, and released in February 1994.[6]
