- "I found her on Mircapala, standing guard over the dead body of her master, who had programmed her to defend him against an attacker who never came. She had been standing guard for many years. I promised her a new home."
- ―Komat, to Lando Calrissian about KB-68
Mircapala was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] located in the Mircapala system of Wild Space. It was situated in grid S-3 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
At some point, the Duelist Elite droid KB-68 came to work for a master on Mircapala. The individual programmed KB-68 to defend him against an attacker, though that attacker ultimately never arrived before the droid's owner passed away. KB-68, however, continued standing guard over her master's dead body. Many years later, when the human Komat visited Mircapala and found KB-68 still standing over her master's body, she promised the droid a new home and they both departed the Wild Space celestial body.[2] In 21 ABY,[3] while Komat and KB-68 were residing on[2] the Mid Rim[4] planet Polaar, Komat told the human Lando Calrissian of how she had found the Duelist Elite droid on Mircapala.[2]
