F4-MF was an IG-series assassin droid who led the Rebel Four, a team of freedom fighters operating for the Alliance to Restore the Republic, whose other members including Falaem Onn, Grimgrim, and Soo Rcharrz.[2] Prior to or during 0 BBY,[1] during the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance and the Galactic Empire, an informant told the Rebel Four that the Empire was establishing a base in the stone ruins on the abandoned[2] the Outer Rim[3] planet Vatleria. The team travelled to the ruins, where F4-MF verified the informant's information after sighting Imperial stormtroopers. After the droid announced the findings to the team, Rcharrz asked what their plan was; F4-MF confirmed that it was to stop the Imperials on Vatleria.[2]

The team huddled and F4-MF expressed their belief that they would defeat the small number of stormtroopers opposing them before loudly announcing that it was "Rebellin' time." The Rebel Four stormed the ruins, with F4-MF firing at the stormtroopers with a blaster rifle. The team were defeated, however, by the Sith Lord Darth Vader, who activated traps in which ropes pulled the Rebels into death chambers. F4-MF was stretched into pieces by the ropes, with each of their limbs ripped from their body. The other members of the team were also eliminated, after which Vader expressed disappointment at how easily they had been defeated.[2]
