Evergrass tea

Evergrass tea was a type of tea potable by Evereni and humans.[1] In 382 BBY,[2] the Evereni Path of the Open Hand cult member Yana Ro visited[1] Elecia Zeveron[3]—a human who was the Path's leader and was also known as the Mother—in Zeveron's listening room in the Path compound on the Outer Rim planet Dalna.[1]

While the two conversed, a Path Elder brought them a tray with evergrass tea and sweet rolls, which Ro initially turned down. After the Mother poured them both a cup of the tea, Ro took an overlarge sip of the beverage, while Zeveron took a delicate sip of her own.[1]

Behind the scenes

Evergrass tea appeared in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[4] Within the novel, the tea appeared in a chapter written by Ireland.[5]
