Diurna was a massive subterranean city on the planet Aubadas that was populated by the Katikoot species. Its buildings were made of soapstone and consisted primarily of towers and arches, with hoversled being the primary mode of transportation for the city's citizens. The city was also largely supported by the planet's Life-giving moss. It was located inside a cavern, the walls of which were lined with phosphorescent waterfalls that fed into a river-like moat around the city filled with plankton that illuminated the entire cavern.[1]
In 382 BBY,[2] the city was lead by Minister of works Kittik who contacted the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic for help as they were facing an energy crisis. Republic Pathfinder team Outer Rim Expedition Two-Five-Two responded first, before heading to Aubadas's twin planet Gloam to help find fuel supply for the city. But after that team went missing, Jedi Master Silandra Sho's pathfinder team visited the city in search of team Two-Five-Two.[1]
