"Marchion Ro sent me there on a mission. But I was supposed to lead you into an ambush in the Dinwa system, not accompany you here. I disobeyed Ro by helping you."
―Nan Hague, to Reath Silas[3]

The Dinwa system was a star system[3] located in the Inner Rim[1] that contained the planet Dinwa Prime.[4] In 228 BBY,[5] during the High Republic Era, Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro sent the Nihil intelligence operative Nan Hague to[3] the Core Worlds[1] planet Coruscant to lure the Jedi Order into an ambush in the Dinwa system. However, while on Coruscant, Hague threatened to unleash the affliction known as the blight if she was not able to speak with Jedi Knight Reath Silas. After speaking with the Jedi Knight, she deserted from the Nihil and accompanied him to[3] the Mid Rim[6] planet Kashyyyk to help the Jedi find the Nihil Doctor Zadina Mkampa who Hague believed was heading there.[3]

During her time on Kashyyyk, Hague was confronted by Silas about why she had not told them about Mkampa's interest in controlling[3] the sentient[6] carnivorous plants known as the Drengir that had attacked them, then stating that she had deserted from the Nihil and told them nothing, asking if it had been worth her threat of releasing the blight on Coruscant. In response, Hague told Silas that she had not deserted by going to Coruscant, but by accompanying him to Kashyyyk, and then revealed to the Jedi Knight the reason why she had been sent to Coruscant by Ro, noting she had disobeyed the Eye's order.[3]

  5. Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic Adventures (2023) 16, which features the Stormwall going down, takes place one year and a few months after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY. The events of The High Republic: Tears of the Nameless also take place in 228 BBY per the reasoning here. As The High Republic: Into the Light states its events occur after the events of Tears of the Nameless and before the Stormwall goes down, they must also take place in that year.
