The Dimean sector was a sector situated in the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It contained the Dimea, Gregonia, Kessur, Rigoron, and Veros systems, all of which were located in grid square P-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The sentient Kessurian species[3] was native to the Kessur system.[4]
The Veros system featured the planet Veros, which was the homeworld of the sentient Verosian species and was ruled by wealthy familial alliances, including the House of Basan, for centuries. Their wealth was taken from them decades[5] prior to 0 ABY[6] and found its way into the Galactic Empire's possession[5] by that year.[6] Veros was the homeworld of the Verosian Jaff Basan of the House of Basan.[5]
Behind the scenes
The Dimean sector was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[7] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned, albeit unidentified, in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, a 2003 video game developed by BioWare.[8] The name was then introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[9]
