The Veros system was a star system in grid square P-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid, situated in the Dimean sector of the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It contained the planet Veros, which was the homeworld of the sentient Verosian species. Veros was considered a wealthy planet and was ruled by familial alliances for centuries, including the House of Basan—the House to which the Veros native Jaff Basan belonged to. Veros' wealth was however taken from the familial alliances decades before[3] 0 ABY,[4] eventually ending up in the Galactic Empire's possession.[3] In that year,[4] the gambler Lando Calrissian reminded Basan of that fact while they played the game Klikklak.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Veros system was mentioned in the appendix Star Systems of the Galaxy, published on the StarWars.com website[1] as part of Star Wars Galaxy Map[5] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[6]
