The Deysum system was a star system located in the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Slice,[2] within the Trax sector. Situated in grid square Q-10 on the Standard Galactic Grid, the Deysum system was connected via[3] the Trax Tube[4] hyperspace route to[3] the planet[5] Randon and the Uogo'cor system.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Deysum system was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon on a galactic map in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 boxed set for Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[3] The system was later identified as the "Deysum system" in "Star Systems of the Galaxy,"[1] an appendix accompanying the Star Wars Galaxy Map, an article on StarWars.com featuring a map of the galaxy.[6] Both works were authored by Jason Fry and posted on June 24, 2025.[7] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the system was introduced in "Changing the Balance," a roleplaying adventure authored by Bill Smith and Ed Stark, and published as part of the Star Wars Gamemaster Kit by West End Games in 1991 for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[8] It was first identified as the Deysum system in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[9]

This assumes that the name "Trax Tube," as used in Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 43 Guide to the Galaxy: Kashyyyk's Fight for Freedom, applies to the canon hyperspace route depicted on the map that matches the depiction of the Star Wars Legends route with the same name in The Essential Atlas per
Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
