Condiment oil was an oil used as a condiment that was created using guiji fire peppers. The oil was used in the galaxy[1] by around 396 BBY[2] during the High Republic Era. Consumption of condiment oil made one's tongue feel like it was on fire.[1] That year,[2] Reena University student Axel Greylark took this effect into consideration when using guiji fire peppers to fake an affliction of malongo pox, which he did to get out of participating in the Queen's Bloom Festival.[1]

Condiment oil was mentioned in the short story "The Queen's Bloom," written by Zoraida Córdova and published in the 2023 young-adult anthology The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[1]
