The Collus system was a star system in the Expansion Region[1] and the Interior.[2] It was part of the Thuldin's Grant sector and lay within grid square J-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The Collus Reach[3] was located in[4] the Collus system.[1] At some point between around 389 BBY and around 379 BBY,[5] Jedi Padawan Rooper Nitani explored the ruins of old Force sects deep in the Collus Reach.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Collus system was first mentioned on a map created by Jason Fry and Christopher Ibbitt for Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo[6] and published on June 17, 2025.[7] It was identified in an update to "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com,[1] on October 13, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[8]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Collus Reach in relation to Collus system.
- ↑ Rooper Nitani is fifteen years old during the events of The High Republic: Quest for Planet X, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates to 382 BBY. Furthermore, by the time of the events of "Shield of the Jedi," Nitani is around eighteen years old, and that story also establishes that she explored the ruins in the Collus Reach no more than ten years earlier.
