The Celegia system was located in the Noori sector[3] of the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice,[2] within grid square O-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It shared its name with the Celegian sentient species.[4][5]
Behind the scenes
The Celegia system was introduced in the current Star Wars canon in "The History of Neimoidia,"[6] an article written by Mark Newbold[7] and included in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the fifty-second issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine[6] that was published around December 30, 2015.[8] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[3] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[9]
The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via a mention in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[10] The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, a webcomic authored by Pablo Hidalgo and released on StarWars.com[11] over the span of the 2009[12]–2010[13] second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series,[12] featured the first appearance of the Celegia system.[11]
